Hello Everyone!
Tomorrow night is Parent’s Night from 7-8pm. Please view the guidelines below to get the most out of the evening with your child…
Parent’s Night at WMPCS
Please use the following guidelines to help you get the most out of this time with your child.
o Please remember this is not a time for conferencing with your child’s teacher. Parent Conferences are coming up soon (Nov 2nd -6th) and you will have time to discuss your child’s progress.
o Spend your time listening and talking with your child about his work, a typical school day, and the lessons he has learned.
o Find ways to acknowledge the effort your child made rather than focusing on any work you may feel is substandard.
o Please stay focused on your child during this time and refrain from visiting with other parents.
o If you have more than one child, make sure to spend some time in the classroom of each child. There is only one hour so try to be conscious of spending an equal amount of time with each child.
o Ask your child to give you a lesson.
Remember…
Your child is young and working hard to learn. His/her work is that of a child. As he/she grows you will see the work become more and more advanced. There will be a day when you look back and remember this day. You want this to be a good memory for both you and your child.
